Privacy policy
This explains what we collect when you request an estimate, call us, or text us — and what we do and do not do with it. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
Last updated August 4, 2026.
Who this covers
This policy applies to UFO Tree Trimming Inc (“we”, “us”), CSLB license #1091603, and to ufotreetrimming.com along with the phone number, email address, and text messaging we use to run the business. It covers people who contact us about tree work in Palmdale, Lancaster, and the surrounding Antelope Valley.
What we collect
We collect what we need to quote and complete tree work, and not more. Depending on how you reach us, that can include:
- Contact details you give us — your name, phone number, email address, and the address of the property the work is for.
- Job details you describe — the services you are asking about, tree type and size, access notes, and anything else you tell us about the job.
- Photos you upload with an estimate request. These are stored with your request so the crew can quote accurately without a site visit first.
- Call and message records — including recordings of calls, where disclosed, and the content of text messages you exchange with us.
- Basic usage data from this website, such as pages viewed and the general source that referred you, collected through analytics described below.
What we use it for
We use the information above to run the business you contacted us about:
- Preparing and delivering your estimate, and scheduling the work.
- Contacting you about your request — by phone, email, or text — including follow-up on a quote you asked for.
- Doing the work safely and correctly, including planning access and equipment.
- Billing, records, insurance, and warranty questions after a job.
- Asking for a review after a completed job. We ask every customer, not only the ones we expect to be happy.
- Understanding which pages and sources bring people to the site, so we can improve it.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number, we may text you about your estimate, your appointment, or a job in progress. Here is exactly how that works: You opt in by giving us your number and asking us to contact you — for example by submitting the estimate form, or by texting us first. Message frequency varies with your job; most customers get a handful of messages around a single estimate or appointment. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to stop messages, or HELP for help. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
- We do not send marketing or promotional texts to anyone who has not asked to hear from us.
- No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for their own use.
- Replying STOP stops the messages. We may send one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed.
- Opting out of texts does not stop us from calling or emailing you about a job you asked us to do.
Recorded calls
Some calls to and from our business number may be recorded or monitored for quality, training, and accurate job records. California is a two-party consent state under Penal Code § 632, so where a call is recorded you will be told at the start of the call. If you would rather not be recorded, tell us and we will continue the call without recording, or take your details another way. Recordings are treated as confidential business records and are not published or sold.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses a small amount of measurement so we can see what is working. We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not build advertising profiles about you.
- Google Analytics — aggregate traffic measurement: which pages get visited, roughly where visitors come from, and which content leads to estimate requests.
- Vercel Analytics — page performance and traffic counts, measured without cookies.
- Essential storage — small amounts of data your browser keeps so the site works properly, such as remembering your language preference.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that make the business run, and only as far as they need it:
- Our customer and scheduling system, which holds your contact details, job history, and messages.
- Our email and file storage providers, which deliver your estimate request to us and hold uploaded job photos.
- Our website host and analytics providers, as described above.
- Anyone we are legally required to share with — for example in response to a valid legal request, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
How long we keep it
We keep estimate requests, job records, and related messages for as long as we need them for the work, our business records, insurance, and any legal or tax obligation that applies. Job photos are kept with the request they came from. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete it or stop associating it with you. You can ask us to delete your information sooner — see your rights below.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you rights over the personal information we hold about you. You can:
- Ask what personal information we have collected about you, and where it came from.
- Ask for a copy of that information.
- Ask us to correct information that is wrong.
- Ask us to delete your information, subject to records we are required to keep.
- Exercise any of these rights without being treated differently or charged more for it.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging tree work on a property. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, and the systems that hold your information are access-controlled. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security — but we do not collect payment card details through this website, and we do not ask for sensitive personal information in an estimate request.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes to how we handle text messaging or recorded calls will be described here before they take effect.
