In the High Desert, your trees have to be tough. Hard summer heat, soil that drains fast and holds little, and the Santa Anas — which don't so much blow as lean on a tree until something gives.
We've been doing this in the Antelope Valley for over 20 years. Here's where we work and what the local conditions actually demand.
Where we work
We're based at 38034 Rudall Ave in Palmdale, and the truck covers more ground than the city limits:

- [Littlerock](/service-areas/littlerock) & Pearblossom — the east Valley, orchard windbreaks, and Joshua tree country.
- Santa Clarita & the San Fernando Valley — over the pass, when the job's worth the drive.
What the desert actually does to trees
- Wind is the main event. We lace and thin canopies so gusts move through the tree instead of pushing it over. A dense, unthinned canopy is a sail, and the Antelope Valley has no shortage of wind to fill it.
- Defensible space is a real requirement, not a sales angle. We clear brush and cut fire-safe clearance around structures, and we chip on site so it leaves in the truck.
- Deadwood becomes a projectile. Removing it before a storm is cheap. Removing the roof it landed on is not.
- Some trees can be saved. Precision pruning keeps a struggling tree going more often than people expect — and when it can't be saved, we'll say that too.
The Joshua tree exception
Littlerock and the east Valley are thick with Joshua trees, and we want to be clear about them, because plenty of crews aren't: Joshua trees are protected statewide under the Western Joshua Tree Conservation Act. We do not quote removals on them. What we do is look at the tree for free and tell you what the lawful path is — which sometimes is a permit, and sometimes is "that one's fine, leave it alone."
Don't Let Your Trees Become an Unidentified Growing Object
The honest reason to hire a licensed crew isn't that we're nicer than whoever left a flyer on your door — it's that if a climber gets hurt in your yard, our workers' comp is the coverage instead of your homeowner's policy. The same math applies to doing it yourself off a ladder.
